NATIONAL SECURITY ANALYST - CHINFO | PAO or Mass Communication Specialist

Contribute to the strategic direction of the business and support impactful mission outcomes as a National Security Analyst at GDIT. Here, you'll enable the success of the most critical government missions and the growth of a meaningful career in Intelligence.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a National Security Analyst, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of CHINFO. Join GDIT as a National Security Analyst and make a meaningful impact supporting the Navy's Office of Communications Outreach. In this full-time role, you will apply your proven public affairs skills to provide community outreach expertise to the United States Navy. Your work will help ensure the safety and security of our nation, while showcasing the Navy's missions, equipment, and people through high-profile outreach events.
Provide public affairs and event planning support for Fleet Weeks, Navy Weeks and Executive Engagement Visits across the U.S., designed to highlight the importance of a strong Navy to the American way of life.

Conduct market research on designated cities to inform outreach strategies.

Participate in planning efforts, collaborating with teams via phone, email, and weekly conference calls; attend in-person meetings during site visits.

Identify and engage relevant organizations, corporations, government officials, and community groups to participate in Navy outreach events.

Plan and execute a variety of events, including high-level executive engagements, general public events, volunteer opportunities, and community visits.

Construct and submit itineraries, trip books, and schedules of events.

Serve as a point of contact for media engagements during planned engagements; monitor media activity generated by outreach events.

Demonstrate strong event planning, communications, and public affairs/media relations skills.

Ability to plan events with diverse groups and organizations.

Conduct daily and special assignment media searches and compile associated reports for distribution to internal and external stakeholders.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your initiative and drive for innovation to GDIT. The National Security Analyst must have:
Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of event planning and public communications experience (candidates with 2+ years may be considered for entry-level opportunities).

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and other Office products.

Proven experience in market research, event coordination, and media relations.

Travel required: 10-15% (remote work available).

The likely salary range for this position is $59,500 - $80,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
