IT Engineer (Apple Ecosystem & End-User Security) - Remote (WFH)
<strong>Position Overview:</strong><br/><br/>The IT Engineer (Apple Ecosystem) will serve as the administrator for our Apple-centric environment. This role focuses on delivering a seamless, secure, and automated user experience while ensuring that all endpoints meet rigorous federal security standards.<br/><br/><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br/><ul><li>Primary focus will be to manage Cognitive's Apple fleet and end user help desk service requests</li><li>Manage Backup and Disaster Recovery, DLP, and Anti-virus for endpoints</li><li>Lead the configuration and management of MacBook laptops using Jamf Pro, ensuring zero-touch deployment, automated patching, and security baselining</li><li>Manage help desk service requests using Jira Service Management, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and SLA requirements</li><li>Design and maintain MDM policies and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools to protect a remote-first workforce</li><li>Oversee the IT service desk, ensuring high-quality support and maintaining SLAs for hardware, software, and identity access issues</li><li>Ensure Apple devices meet NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 controls</li><li>Manage external vendors for hardware procurement and specialized third-party Apple support</li></ul><br/><strong>Qualifications:</strong><br/><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field</li><li>3-5 years in an individual contributor role managing Apple-centric enterprise environments</li><li>Hands-on experience with Jamf suite of tools, such as Jamf Pro, Jamf Cloud, Jamf Connect, etc.</li><li>Strong understanding of EDR solutions and securing macOS within a federal healthcare or civilian agency context</li><li>Working knowledge of HIPAA and NIST security frameworks as they apply to endpoint management</li><li>Ability to work in a hybrid environment, coming into an office as needed, up to three times per week</li></ul><br/><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br/><ul><li>Experience working with VA, DHA, CMS, HHS, or similar federal healthcare agencies</li><li>Familiarity with FedRAMP Moderate or High environments</li><li>Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+,Azure, or ITIL</li><li>Experience in small business or SDVOSB environments with growth-oriented responsibilities</li></ul>
