CEO / Co-Founder — Salary + Equity

Silent Modz is seeking a hands-on CEO and ownership partner to expand an existing custom gaming-controller and accessories business.

Over the past couple of years, founder Drake Essman has sold controllers through his existing company, Silent Mines Inc., testing customer demand and product economics. The business has an ecommerce store, products, inventory, and a history of profitable sales. Drake has focused on product testing and sales, with limited attention to advertising. The next phase will focus on repeatable customer acquisition, team development, and consistent operations.

The plan is to form a separate Silent Modz company and move all current controller sales into it. This transition has not yet happened. Silent Mines Inc. and its unrelated activities would remain separate; the business transition and arrangements for assets and brand rights would be agreed and documented.

What you would lead

  • Daily operations, business priorities, and performance reporting.

  • Ecommerce growth and customer acquisition measured against margins and cash flow.

  • Hiring, team management, and practical operating processes.

  • Budgeting, working-capital planning, and coordination across customer service and fulfillment.

  • Testing founder-led content, partnerships, and other marketing channels against commercial results.

Drake would remain Founder and President with majority ownership, leading products, sourcing, brand, and distribution. Responsibilities and decision-making authority would be defined together.

What you would bring

You have run a consumer-products or ecommerce business, owned a P&L, managed a small team, and delivered measurable results. You understand the relationship between acquisition costs, margins, inventory, returns, and operating cash flow. You can explain what you changed, why it worked, and your own contribution.

Gaming-hardware or consumer-electronics experience is especially relevant. Practical judgment, clear communication, and reliable execution matter.

Salary and ownership

This is a genuine co-founder and operating leadership opportunity with salary plus minority equity in the proposed new Silent Modz company. Salary amount and start date would be agreed based on the finances and operating plan. The initial equity discussion target is 20–25%, with final terms to be agreed.

Personal investment is optional and is not a condition of joining. Any investment would be discussed separately. The partnership would confer no ownership in Silent Mines Inc.

How to apply

Send a short introduction, one or two operating results you personally delivered, your availability, and your compensation expectations. Following an initial fit conversation, we would review sales, costs, margins, and the proposed business transition together.
