This is an opportunity for you to not only utilize your skills in managing IT resources, such as organizational software, but also employ your outstanding record-keeping and database skills.As our new IT Asset Analyst (Software), you will ensure that our records and databases are up-to-date with all relevant details regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements.Plus, you will be on the lookout for ways to cut costs and reduce risks, as you get involved in the details of financials, licensing, and contracts.As our IT Asset Analyst (Software), you'll be responsible for managing IT assets with a main focus on software throughout their entire lifecycle, keeping things organized, efficient, and in line with ITSM ITIL guidelines.You'll also work closely with various teams to ensure everything is running smoothly and cost-effectively.Here are some of your key responsibilities :Help manage our IT Asset Management (ITAM) program, systems, policies, and processes.Collaborate with stakeholders, customers, and ServiceNow experts to improve our IT asset management capabilities.Track software licenses and hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts.Assist in developing and refining IT asset management policies, processes, and procedures.Work with the ITAM team to streamline and implement IT asset processes.Create and implement tracking procedures and reports to maintain quality control throughout the lifecycle of our organizational IT assets.Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal RightsA wide salary range is experience, knowledge, and skills), are as follows :Minimum Qualifications :A minimum of three (3) years of IT experience, including a specific focus on hardware / software asset management.Experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management Pro.Experience with writing or interpreting software licensing contract terms and conditions.Substitutions :Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications.Training or Certification related to the work assigned to the position will be assigned credit towards substitution for experience and / or education, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications.If the minimum qualifications include a degree requirement, additional appropriate paid or unpaid experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.Preferred Qualifications :IAITAM Certification, such as CHAMP, CSAM, and CITAM.ITIL v3 Foundation Certification (or higher).Understanding of the tools and processes used in IT Asset Management and Configuration ManagementKnowledge of IT Service Management processes, as well as experience with associated ITAM tools and CMDB and how they interact.Conditions of Employment :OIT employees must comply with any screening procedures in place at state entity locations where they
