Customer Solutions and Logistics Coordinator - East Coast & Mid West Remote

This role is fully remote based in the East Coast & Mid West regions.

Customer Solutions and Logistics Coordinators serve a vital function in our Operations team, ensuring that our customers’ needs are met in an effective and efficient manner. Customer solutions and Logistics Coordinators interact with many groups within and outside of Silver Fern, while addressing critical customer requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming purchase orders and customer requests for effective action item delegation and team workload management.
  • Places and processes customer product orders into Datacor Chempax ERP system.
  • Organizes and co-ordinates optimal 3rd party logistics solution for each order. Works closely with 3rd party logistics providers to effectively manage outbound orders.
  • Follows and/or implement special instructions for various accounts and maintains accurate and up-to-date notation on all service incidents.
  • Provide current ETA updates to Customers.
  • Maintains exceptional customer service levels.
  • Obtain competitive freight rates and schedule Deliveries. Process inbound notification with warehouse or set up delivery plan with customer.
  • Upon warehouse receipt, receive material in Datacor Chempax ERP, or invoice customers accordingly.
  • Generate SFC COA’s as needed.
  • Takes incoming phone calls to respond to customer inquiries; executes on Silver Fern's communication principles to build customer confidence, set appropriate expectations, and offer solutions.
  • Collaborates with Sales and Accounting team to address customer concerns and set proper expectations.
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Sales team to effectively manage customer orders.
  • Participates in training and constructively provides feedback.
  • Focuses on meeting all individual and team objectives, deadlines and responsibilities while actively promoting a team atmosphere.
  • Work days and hours – Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm EST
  • All other duties as required.

Desired background & skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a fully accredited four-year institution or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) service organization or 1 year of experience in equivalent job(s) preferred
  • Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and creative problem solving
  • Demonstrates a commitment to accuracy and accountability for job performance
  • Receptive to constructive feedback from peers and mentors
  • Strong work ethic and team-oriented mind set
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey ideas and suggestions via multiple modes of communication
  • Ability to work independently and in teams of various sizes to complete a tactical work load.
  • Exhibits versatility and adaptability while interacting with customers, suppliers and outsourced relationships
  • Datacor Chempax ERP experience
