Virtual Special Education Teacher / Tutor (Part-Time, Remote)

$23.00/hr W2 base pay + 10% monthly bonus = $25.30/hr effective at the standard workload (10+ tutoring hours per pay period with session reports submitted on time). 5-20 hours per week. 100% remote. Evenings, weekends, or daytime - you choose.

WHO WE ARE

SpecialEdResource.com was founded on the belief that ALL children learn differently. Our tutors provide one-on-one online special education tutoring to families across the U.S., aligned to each child's IEP goals.

WHY TEACHERS CHOOSE US (VS. THE BIG PLATFORMS)

- W2 employment, not a 1099 gig: we pay the payroll taxes, you get a normal paycheck. Comparable to roughly $28/hr at the contractor platforms - with no quarterly-tax headaches.

- Your own recurring students: a consistent weekly schedule. No bidding, no marketplace lottery, no assignment droughts.

- You pick your hours: evenings and weekends welcome. Keep your day job, or don't have one - retired and returning teachers thrive here.

- 1:1 only: the teaching you got into this profession to do, without the meetings, paperwork, and classroom management.

- Paid prep and session-report time.

- A team that knows special education - it's all we do.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Deliver one-on-one online tutoring sessions to K-12 students with special needs, working toward their IEP goals, and briefly log progress after each session.

WHAT WE REQUIRE (THAT'S IT)

- 2+ years of teaching or related experience with students with special needs

- Ability to commit through the 2026-27 school year, minimum 5 hours/week

- Reliable high-speed internet, webcam, and a quiet workspace
