Remote Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Texas
A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to provide telehealth services to school-aged students in the Austin, TX area. This contract role focuses on delivering high-quality remote support, facilitating effective communication and learning for students with hearing impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individualized telehealth sessions tailored to the unique needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Develop, implement, and monitor educational plans aligned with students' goals and hearing abilities
- Collaborate with families, audiologists, and other educational professionals to ensure comprehensive support
- Utilize technology to deliver engaging and accessible instructional content
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and session outcomes
- Provide guidance on the use of assistive technologies and communication strategies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or comparable credentials
