Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Starbucks is a company dedicated to connection and leadership, seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). In this role, you will advance test automation capabilities and ensure high-quality software delivery by designing and developing automation frameworks and collaborating with cross-functional teams.


Responsibilities

  • Design and enhance test automation frameworks – Build and improve automation frameworks and implement scalable automated test suites and scripts
  • Drive quality improvements – Recommend and implement enhancements across automation design, development, and execution processes
  • Lead and mentor – Provide oversight and guidance to QA analysts, developers, and testers on automation and performance testing strategies
  • Execute and analyze testing – Develop, maintain, and debug automated test scripts while tracking and communicating execution results
  • Evaluate tools and frameworks – Participate in tool selection, create POCs, and recommend automation solutions
  • Collaborate across teams – Work cross-functionally with engineers, analysts, and project managers to deliver high-quality software

Skills

  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing automation frameworks with strong programming and scripting skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong coding experience with object-oriented programming and design patterns
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks (open-source or commercial)
  • Knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and test management practices
  • Experience with version control systems and defect tracking tools
  • Understanding of cloud technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and system architecture concepts
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
