The Role
OpenTrain is recruiting a Public Health Communications AI Evaluator to assess AI-generated communications work products in an AI training and quality-review workflow. You will review documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks, identify strengths and weaknesses, and provide clear evaluations against domain-specific quality rubrics.
The listed experience level is entry level, but the role requires at least five years of relevant professional experience in public health communications. The expected commitment is 20 or more hours per week, with hourly pay ranging from $80 to $120 USD.

What You'll Do
You will evaluate varied communications artifacts using consistent, domain-specific standards. Your reviews should distinguish factual or substantive weaknesses from issues involving aesthetics, organization, and presentation.
For each artifact, provide structured written feedback that clearly explains the quality of the output and the issues you identified.
- Evaluate AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks
- Assess factual accuracy, reliability, rigor, and appropriateness for public health communications
- Identify factual errors and weaknesses in aesthetics or presentation
- Apply quality rubrics consistently across different communications formats
- Use subject-matter judgment when grading AI-generated outputs
- Write clear, structured feedback on quality and issues found
Requirements
This role is designed for professionals who can combine substantial public health communications experience with careful, consistent evaluation. You should be able to assess both the content and the way communications materials are presented.
Native or professional English fluency is required because evaluations and written feedback must be precise and clear.
- At least five years of relevant professional experience in public health communications
- Native or professional fluency in English
- Ability to evaluate documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks for factual accuracy and rigor
- Ability to identify aesthetic and presentation errors in communications materials
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Proficiency with Google Slides or PowerPoint
- Ability to provide clear, structured written feedback against quality rubrics
Helpful Background
An advanced degree, such as a master's degree or higher from a reputable institution, is a helpful additional qualification. Experience producing or reviewing public health communications materials can support careful assessment across documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks.
