Business Banker II
Job Description:
- Manage, retain, and deepen the assigned book of business
- Acquire new relationships through assigned leads, referrals, and sales campaigns
- Build and foster partner relationships with Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Business Card, Market Credit, and Sales Support teams
- Multitask in a virtual setting while proactively engaging clients and prospects
- Navigate customer relationship management software and other applications
- Use the Sales Relationship Management system to track calls, pipeline activities, and sales results
- Maintain a regular calling cadence to generate deposit, treasury, and lending business and achieve targets
- Understand complex business cash flow cycles, treasury management, operating cash flow, and financial statements
- Assess customer needs and recommend products or solutions through defined sales processes
- Establish rapport, explain products and services, and recommend appropriate solutions
- Refer customers for complex Treasury Management and Merchant Service needs and follow up on account engagement
- Resolve problems and refer servicing issues to appropriate support channels
- Execute risk management, compliance protocols, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
- Collaborate on special projects and initiatives
- Demonstrate Capital One’s values in interactions with peers, customers, direct reports, and supervisors
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of Business Banking experience
- 5+ years Business Banking experience (preferred)
- 1+ year of phone based sales experience (preferred)
- Formal credit training (preferred)
