The anticipated hiring range for this position will be $22.30 to $25.02 per hour, based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. </strong><br><br><p style="margin: 0"><strong>WHO WE ARE</strong></p><p style="margin: 0">Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS) is committed to building a talented, skilled, and diverse workforce; enhancing the employee experience; and ensuring excellence customer service for County residents, businesses, and licensees.  ABS is committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals and values diverse perspectives, lived experiences, and cultures.  ABS encourages BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of color), immigrants, women, LGBTQIA+, individuals with disabilities and veterans to apply.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><strong>WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR</strong></p><p style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">ABS is seeking individuals for this entry level position pertaining in manual labor involving filling orders of liquor/wine for shipments, loading, and unloading trucks, and performing general warehouse duties.</span></p><br><p style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">Warehouse Workers are responsible for pulling and filling orders of liquor/wine for shipments and loading/unloading trucks.</span></p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">Duties include, but are not limited to: </span></p><br><div style="margin: 0"><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt; margin-left: 0"><li style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">Loads/unloads alcoholic beverages from or in trucks according to stops to ensure efficient delivery of merchandise.</span></li><li style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">Fills orders by locating and transporting cases of merchandise to designated places in warehouse, using hand trucks or carts; moves loaded pallets using electric hand jacks.</span></li><li style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">Assembles damaged cases for repacking; records breakage and places broken or non-saleable merchandise in secured area of warehouse.</span></li><li style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">Performs general cleanup duties in warehouse, sweeping up debris, waste, and broken merchandise.</span></li><li style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">Occasionally operates a forklift to retrieve cases of liquor for orders.</span></li><li style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">May take physical inventory.</span></li><li style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">Performs related duties as required.</span></li></ul></div><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><strong><span style="color: inherit">A criminal background check will be conducted on the selected candidate prior to appointment and will be a significant factor in the hiring decision</span></strong><span style="color: inherit">.</span></p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><strong><span style="color: inherit">This position requires evening and weekend work.</span></strong></p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><strong><span style="color: inherit">The work schedule for this position is 4:30 pm – 1:00 am</span></strong></p><p style="margin: 0"><strong>Experience</strong>: None</p><br><p style="margin: 0"><strong>Education</strong>: Ability to read and write in English</p><p style="margin: 0"> </p><p style="margin: 0"><strong>Equivalency</strong>: None</p><br><p style="margin: 0"><strong>Physical Ability</strong>: Ability to independently move objects weighing up to 160 pounds. </p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><strong>AGE:</strong> Individuals appointed to this position must be at least eighteen (18) years of age on the date of appointment, as required by State law to handle alcoholic beverages</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><strong>Medical Protocol:</strong> This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment medical evaluation, which includes a physical examination and drug screening.</p><p style="margin: 0">All Applicants will be reviewed by the Office of Human Resources (OHR) for minimum qualifications.  The applications of those individuals meeting the minimum qualifications will be reviewed to determine the extent, relevancy of training, and experience in the following areas:</p><br><p style="margin: 0">Preference for interviews will be given to applicants with experience in the following:</p><div style="margin: 0"><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt; margin-left: 0"><li style="margin: 0">Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environments</li><li style="margin: 0">Experience using inventory software, barcode scanners or other relevant warehouse technology </li><li style="margin: 0">Forklift Certification</li></ul></div>
