Social Media & Digital Marketing Specialist - Remote Entry Level

Role:Social Media & Digital Marketing Specialist

About the role

We're looking for an entry-level Social Media & Digital Marketing Specialist to manage and grow social media presence across multiple platforms. This is a fully remote position open to applicants worldwide.

The focus goes beyond posting content—you'll build genuine audience engagement, develop digital strategy, identify emerging trends, and turn social media attention into real opportunities. You'll work independently, study analytics, develop strategies, and provide clear recommendations on next steps.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and grow presence across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant platforms
  • Develop and maintain social media and digital marketing strategy
  • Create and maintain a consistent content calendar
  • Coordinate with content creators on what material needs to be captured
  • Repurpose existing content into multiple usable pieces
  • Monitor trends, viral formats, and emerging opportunities
  • Increase genuine comments, shares, saves, followers, and fan interaction
  • Build and manage authentic community engagement
  • Respond to comments and direct messages appropriately
  • Conduct outreach to creators, influencers, and relevant industry contacts
  • Identify collaboration and promotional opportunities
  • Develop strategies around content releases and campaigns
  • Track analytics and adjust strategy based on data
  • Identify audience segments and geographic regions where growth is strongest

What we're looking for

You do not need prior professional experience. However, you should have a genuine passion for social media culture, current trends, and online audience engagement. A strong understanding of music marketing and music industry culture is important.

We're looking for someone who can think globally and develop strategy independently. You should be comfortable with analytics, able to work without constant oversight, and committed to building real, organic audience growth—no bots, purchased followers, or artificial engagement methods.

Skills/background needed

  • Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and social media platforms
  • Understanding of online culture and audience engagement
  • Ability to identify and capitalize on trends
  • Experience or strong interest in music marketing
  • Comfortable with analytics and data-driven strategy
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Interest in conducting outreach and building relationships
  • Commitment to organic growth and authentic engagement

Rate:Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract length:Ongoing, with an initial trial period. Strong performance may lead to a long-term working relationship.

Location:Fully remote. Open to applicants worldwide.

What to include with your application

  • Links to 2–3 social media accounts you've personally managed, with a brief explanation of what you handled
  • Before/after results or analytics showing real growth (if available)
  • Your experience with music or entertainment marketing
  • Examples of how you've grown authentic engagement without purchased methods
  • Your proposed monthly rate and what that includes
  • Your personal social media handles and any professionally managed accounts you'd like to share

Benefits

  • Flexible remote schedule
  • Full training and onboarding provided
  • Opportunity to build a long-term professional relationship
