Remote Business Development Director

<strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Remote Business Development Director in Fremont, CA. Overview: We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager/Director to drive growth for a portfolio of mobile computing and enterprise mobility solutions, including rugged handheld devices, tablets, and private network solutions within the U.S. market. This is a highly sales-focused role for an experienced business development professional who understands the mobile computing ecosystem and can identify new markets, build relationships with prospective customers, develop strategic partnerships, and convert opportunities into revenue. The ideal candidate combines strong industry knowledge with a proven ability to hunt for new business, develop executive-level customer relationships, create compelling solutions, and successfully close complex sales opportunities. While the position will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, its primary focus is sales, business development, market expansion, and revenue growth. Key Responsibilities:<br><br><ul><li> Drive sales and business development for rugged mobile computers, handheld devices, tablets, and related enterprise mobility solutions throughout the U.S. market</li><li> Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities, with a strong emphasis on new customer acquisition and market expansion</li><li> Build and maintain relationships with wireless carriers, enterprise customers, strategic partners, and other key stakeholders</li><li> Develop and execute strategic account and territory plans designed to grow revenue, market share, and profitability<br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li> 7-10+ years of successful sales and/or business development experience, ideally within mobile computing, rugged devices, enterprise mobility, telecommunications, wireless, or a closely related technology market</li><li> Demonstrated success developing new customers and new revenue opportunities in a hunter-oriented sales environment</li><li> Experience selling into wireless carriers, enterprise organizations, private network environments, or similar complex customer environments preferred</li><li> Strong knowledge of rugged handheld devices, tablets, mobile computing solutions, enterprise mobility, or related technologies strongly preferred</li><li> Strong understanding of market positioning, competitive analysis, pricing strategy, and solution selling</li><li> Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate opportunities based on revenue potential, profitability, competitive positioning, and long-term strategic value</li><li> Excellent presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, and executive communication skills</li><li> Self-directed and entrepreneurial, with the ability to operate successfully in a highly autonomous business development role</li><li> Proven ability to manage complex, solution-based sales cycles from initial prospecting through contract negotiation and close</li><li> Ability to translate customer requirements and market feedback into actionable recommendations for product and engineering teams</li><li> Ability to collaborate effectively across sales, product management, engineering, product marketing, and executive leadership teams</li><li> Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50%, primarily to customer locations throughout the United States</li><li> Initial product and organizational training may require travel to California<br><br></li></ul>The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.<br><br>We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.<br><br>Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable.
