Order Fulfillment Specialist, II Manufacturing

<p><strong>Title: Specialist II, Order Fulfilment</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong> The Order Fulfilment Specialist II is responsible for managing end-to-end order fulfillment activities to ensure customer orders are processed, manufactured, shipped, and delivered accurately and on time. This role serves as a key liaison between Sales, Supply Chain, Planning, Production, Quality, Warehouse, Logistics, and Customer teams to ensure seamless order execution and exceptional customer service. The position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong operational, analytical, and problem-solving skills who can effectively manage customer commitments, resolve fulfillment challenges, and drive continuous process improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities include: </strong></p><p><strong>1. Order Management & Execution</strong></p><ul><li>Coordinate with Planning (PC), Material Control (MC), Warehouse (WHS), and Logistics teams to ensure smooth order flow.</li><li>Monitor order status and proactively resolve delays or exceptions</li><li>Ensure compliance with FIFO principles and inventory allocation rules</li></ul><p><strong>2. Warehouse & Inventory Coordination</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee picking, packing, labeling, and shipping accuracy</li><li>Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation</li><li>Monitor stock levels and support inventory optimization strategies</li><li>Ensure proper handling of special materials (e.g., hazardous or regulated goods if applicable)</li></ul><p><strong>3. Logistics & Transportation Coordination</strong></p><ul><li>Coordinate outbound shipments with carriers, 3PLs, and internal logistics teams</li><li>Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery performance (OTD)</li><li>Manage transportation exceptions and escalate issues when necessary</li><li>Optimize shipping methods to balance cost and service level</li></ul><p><strong>4. Process Improvement & Compliance</strong></p><ul><li>Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives</li><li>Ensure SOP compliance across fulfilment operations</li><li>Support implementation of WMS, SAP, or other systems enhancements</li><li>Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements</li></ul><p><strong>5. Reporting & KPI Management</strong></p><ul><li>Track and report key KPIs such as:</li><li>On-Time Delivery</li><li>Order Accuracy</li><li>Inventory Accuracy</li><li>Order Cycle Time</li><li>Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operational reports</li><li>Provide data-driven insights to management</li><li>All other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.</li><li>3-5 years of experience in order fulfilment, warehouse operations, or logistics</li><li>Experience in solar, renewable energy, battery, automotive or other high-volume manufacturing industries.</li><li>Strong understanding of supply chain processes (order fulfilment, inventory, logistics)</li><li>Experience with ERP/WMS systems</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills</li><li>Strong communication and cross-functional coordination ability</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment</li><li>Knowledge of compliance requirements (e.g., shipping regulations, hazardous materials handling) is a plus</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements and Working Conditions</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer</li><li>Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, filing, and operating office equipment</li><li>Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching</li><li>Ability to lift and carry light office materials (up to 10–15 lbs), such as files or office supplies</li><li>Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports</li><li>Ability to attend meetings and interact with employees, clients, and vendors</li><li>May require occasional overtime or weekend support</li><li>Ability to work on-site and coordinate with cross-functional teams</li></ul>
