Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately assign codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services in line with the current medical coding guidelines.
  • Process patient billing, verify insurance coverage, and prepare claims for submission to insurers.
  • Communicate effectively with insurance providers, healthcare professionals, and patients to resolve billing issues or discrepancies.
  • Ensure all coding and billing processes comply with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA guidelines.
  • Review patient records and verify the accuracy of medical codes and billing information.
  • Maintain and update billing records and ensure all payments are processed promptly.
  • Resolve coding and billing errors and provide necessary corrections.
  • Stay up to date with changes in medical billing and coding rules and regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree in a healthcare-related field preferred but not required).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high level of accuracy.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare procedures (training will be provided).
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and willingness to learn medical billing software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow in the healthcare field.

Experience:

  • No prior experience in medical billing and coding is necessary.
  • We provide on-the-job training and certification preparation.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role is a plus but not required.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time and part-time positions available.
