Licensed HVAC/R Facilities Manager – \$5K Sign-On Bonus

About the position

Put your HVAC/R license and leadership experience to work with Walmart — and build a career with one of the world’s largest facilities operations. Walmart is hiring an experienced Licensed Manager, Facilities Maintenance Operations to lead facilities maintenance across a local regional market. This is an opportunity to move beyond servicing one building or responding to the next work order and take ownership of facility performance across multiple locations while leading and developing a team of skilled technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of facilities maintenance technicians.
  • Oversee HVAC/R and general building maintenance across your assigned locations.
  • Partner with Store Managers and Facilities Services leaders to identify and resolve facility needs.
  • Use reporting, analytics and root-cause analysis to improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed.
  • Maintain required contractor licensing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Secure required permits and coordinate inspections in accordance with mechanical and building codes.
  • Conduct site inspections to support safety, quality and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Current HVAC/R Mechanical Contractor license in good standing in your state of residence
  • EPA Universal Certification
  • 3–5 years of experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering or a related field
  • Strong HVAC/mechanical knowledge
  • Leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop others
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and customer-service skills
  • Experience with root-cause and equipment breakdown analysis

  • Commercial HVAC/R experience
  • General building/facilities maintenance experience
  • Experience supervising associates
  • Experience working across teams, locations or projects
