District Kitchen + Cocktails is looking for a motivated Junior Sous Chef who is ready to take the next step in their culinary career. If you're passionate about great food, thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, and want to grow into a leadership role, we'd love to meet you.
Working alongside our Executive Chef and leadership team, you'll help execute exceptional food, develop the kitchen team, and maintain the standards that keep guests coming back.
What You'll Do
- Lead by example on the line during service
- Assist with daily kitchen operations and execution
- Train, coach, and motivate line cooks and prep cooks
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met
- Help manage prep production, station setup, and kitchen organization
- Monitor portioning, waste, and food cost controls
- Maintain sanitation and health department standards
- Step into leadership responsibilities when needed
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of high-volume kitchen experience
- Previous leadership experience is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
- Passion for mentoring others and building a strong kitchen culture
- A desire to continue learning and advancing into a Sous Chef position
