Forklift Driver/Warehouse Worker
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Driver and Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of inventory within our warehouse facilities. The successful candidate will operate various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks, to facilitate shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities. Duties
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo equipment, and other material handling machinery to load and unload shipments efficiently.
- Perform order picking using barcode scanning technology and manual methods to fulfill customer orders accurately.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and updates within the warehouse management system.
- Conduct equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure operational safety and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing storage areas and managing materials handling tasks.
- Follow all forklift safety protocols and warehouse safety standards in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Assist in manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting, palletizing, and load securing to optimize workflow.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to improve operational efficiency and implement best practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards in production environments during all warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts (including lift trucks), reach trucks, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo equipment within a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, shipping & receiving procedures.
- Familiarity with materials handling equipment operation, heavy lifting techniques, and manual handling safety standards.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and data entry accuracy.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse safety protocols.
- Prior experience in warehouse management or supervision is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
