Excel to Smartsheets - bring me into the 21st century
Excel to Smartsheets and beyond. Would also be interested in utilizing some AI, perhaps phase 2.
Currently using an old, reworked Excel sheet as a pricing model and quote tool. I would like to move this into the 21 century.
3 key functions.
-Data collection.
-Pricing model/data manipulation based on certain parameters.
-Data output into a format which we tweak and send to customer as a final PDF.
Current process.
-Sales team works a prospect within CRM.
-Once qualified, the lead turns into a deal, and the CRM generates a 4-digit deal ID (Power Automate).
-In parallel, folders are created on our SharePoint drive as well as an Excel workbook/Pricing worksheet (Power Automate).
-CRM data pushed to the corresponding deal workbook (Power Automate).
Data collection -
-Separate "RFQ" tab gets broken out and saved on drive with parts of the deal info. (manual process).
-That "RFQ" tab gets sent out to prospective bidders via email to quote job along with some supporting files (manual process).
-Bidders return worksheet via email (manual process).
Price modeling -
-Original workbook gets populated with values returned from the bidder worksheet (manual process).
-Worksheet is used to run what-if scenarios and price job.
Data output-
-Another tab generates as a proposal with data from the price model.
-Proposal tab is converted to PDF and sent to prospect for review, (no sig required).
