Within this program, we also offer function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning opportunities that will encourage you to solve problems through a variety of hands-on, meaningful experiences from your very first day on the job.<br><br>As a recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree, you will join Texas Instruments’ <strong>Information Technology Security</strong> organization and begin a career as a <strong>Cyber Security Engineer</strong>. You will work side‑by‑side with senior engineers on real‑world projects that protect TI’s global infrastructure, develop privileged‑access solutions, and drive automation across the enterprise.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Configure and harden operating systems, applications and network devices </li><li>Administer and manage the policy and efficacy of our security tool stack.</li><li>Support the design and configuration of solutions that align with zero‑trust architecture.</li><li>Contribute to patterns of our architectural standards and best‑practice documentation. </li><li>Participate in mentorship sessions and knowledge‑sharing workshops.</li><li>Adopt an automation‑first mindset; write simple scripts or playbooks to streamline repetitive tasks.</li><li>Learn to align solutions with regulatory frameworks such as NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS, ISO.</li><li>Assist in designing scalable, auditable controls for highly regulated environments and support audit preparation.</li><li>Embed security controls into solutions without compromising user experience.</li><li>Evaluate, select, and help implement new security technologies in partnership with senior leadership.</li><li>Conduct threat models in security reviews and risk assessments for new hardware, firmware, and software projects.</li><li>Create and refine tools that automate security assessments and streamline workflows.</li><li>Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure (identity & access management, data protection, network security, compliance).</li><li>Contribute to DevSecOps practices and secure SDLC processes.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong>Minimum requirements:<br><br><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.</li><li>Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Basic understanding of privileged‑access concepts (Just‑In‑Time entitlements, zero‑standing privileges).</li><li>Familiarity with endpoint protection, malware defenses, and Windows/Linux operating systems.</li><li>Introductory exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and identity lifecycle management.</li><li>Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) – a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of networking basics (firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation) and SIEM concepts.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to document findings clearly.</li><li>Demonstrated problem‑solving ability, eagerness to learn, and capacity to work both independently and within cross‑functional teams.<br><br></li></ul><strong>About Us<br><br></strong><strong>Why TI?<br><br></strong><ul><li>Engineer your future.
