<strong>Job Details:<br><br></strong><strong>Checker Operator<br><br></strong>B shift Monday night- Thursday night 6pm 5am<br><br>We have open positions on days and nights. As part of our ongoing commitment to safety, we provide all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and Boot Reimbursement!<br><br>POSITION SUMMARY:<br><br>This position is responsible for entry level forklift operators, ensuring all product and materials are loaded, unloaded, and processed through the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner using a motor-powered forklift. Team members will be fully re-trained and certified on forklift during orientation. Applicants will be considered for any forklift operator type opening on any shift, such as day or night shift.<br><br>QUALIFICATIONS:<br><br><ul><li>The applicant must have six (6) months of continuous work history with a single employer in the last twelve (12) months</li><li> (Preferred candidates will have 3 months of forklift or warehouse experience).</li><li>Need full range of motion of arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, all digits, and legs.</li><li>Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with a sense of balance.</li><li>May work with corrective lenses if vision problems.</li><li>May be provided PPE for additional hearing protection as needed.</li><li>Cold Storage Experience Preferred.</li><li>Must pass post offer health assessment and drug screening.<br><br></li></ul>RESPONSIBILITIES:<br><br><ul><li>During your work shift, which will consist of (10-12) hours, you must be willing to move around the work area at a fast pace and willing to bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry up to (50) pounds in many areas on the dock and freezer floor (weight depends on area ranging from 10-50 pounds).</li><li>Follow all Tyson Policies and Safety Guidelines.</li><li>Candidate must be available to work overtime, and weekends as required to meet production deadlines.</li><li>Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced cold storage environment.</li><li>Must be willing to be cross trained and moved to other areas as needed and must be willing and able to stand for 10-12 hours per day on hard floors in extreme cold environments ranging from -10-34 degrees.</li><li>Standing or walking up to 100% of the time.<br><br></li></ul>Proficiency in reading and writing.<br><br>ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels<br><br>“Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.”<br><br><strong>Relocation Assistance Eligible:<br><br></strong>No<br><br><strong>Work Shift:<br><br></strong>ALL SHIFTS (United States of America)<br><br><strong>Certain roles at Tyson require background checks.
