Asset Management Analyst โ€” Commercial Real Estate (Remote, LATAM)

Asset Management Analyst โ€” Commercial Real Estate

๐Ÿ“(Remote, LATAM) โฐ Part-time ๐Ÿ’ธ 1.000 - 1200 USD

๐Ÿ‘€ About the Role

We're looking for an Asset Management Analyst to support the asset management division of a New York-based multifamily real estate portfolio (74 properties). This person will work directly with the Asset Manager, acting as a key point of contact for reporting, data, and communication with investors, lenders, and the property management team.

This is a full-time remote position for a candidate based in Latin America.

๐Ÿ”ฅ What You'll Do

  • Pull and prepare reports from our property management system (AppFolio) โ€” rent rolls, T12s, custom reports โ€” and organize the data in Excel
  • Respond to incoming requests for financial documents from investors, lenders, and internal stakeholders, and route information to the right people
  • Track recurring reporting deadlines (monthly investor packages, quarterly lender reports) to make sure nothing falls through the cracks โ€” currently ~20-30 properties require monthly investor reporting
  • Read and understand rent rolls (units, rents, lease expirations) and T12s/P&L statements to answer basic questions without needing everything explained
  • Build simple reports (e.g., lease expiration tracking) using AI tools like Claude
  • Communicate directly with investors, lenders, and the property management team on report requests and follow-ups
  • As you grow in the role: review financials for inconsistencies (missing accruals, unusual variances) and support basic cash forecasting
โœ… Must-Haves
  • 3-4+ years of experience in commercial real estate (multifamily preferred, but office/retail/industrial experience also considered) โ€” OR experience in finance, investment management, investment banking, or accounting with strong financial statement literacy
  • Experience in either asset management or property management (both are welcome)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English โ€” this role involves direct communication with US-based investors and lenders
  • Highly organized, proactive, and autonomous โ€” able to manage multiple deadlines without close supervision
  • Strong communication skills and financial literacy (comfortable reading a P&L / rent roll)
๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience with AppFolio or similar property management software
  • Familiarity with AI tools like Claude
  • Experience working directly with investors or lenders in a reporting capacity
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, accounting, or related field

This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? 2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
